Who We Are

We would like to introduce you to our new Board of Directors:

Gabrielle Porciello, President; Sue Allen, Vice President; Leesa Michael, Treasurer; and Anthony Ball, Clerk. The four of us were appointed to the Board in January and are looking forward to lots of exciting events for 2015. The Friends will meet on the last Friday of every month at 5:30 upstairs in the Library.

What We Do

The Friends of Taft Public Library is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the Library through fundraising and volunteer services.  Our Goals are to expand the services available to its patrons and to strengthen the Library’s connection with our community.  Fundraising events have included an annual used Book Sale, a bake sale at the Memorial Day Parade, Holiday House Tours and so much more.  This is a very exciting time for us as we develop a fundraising campaign to support construction of our new home at 29 North Avenue.

Join Us

We are always looking for new members to join our group, to share ideas, and to help with the execution of the great events that we have planned for the up coming year.  So if you have been looking for a fun meaningful way to give back to  our wonderful town, here is your opportunity! Please join us to meet new people and discuss new ideas.

 Support our Library

The Friends is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization. We accept matching gifts from employers.  Your tax-deductible contribution, membership, and active participation help support ongoing library programming (including the Summer Reading Program), museum pass sponsorship and other special events like the Annual Cardboard Boat Race.
