Who We Are

Meet our Board of Directors:

Caitriona Scott, President

Lisa Bibring, Treasurer/Assistant Clerk

Caitriona joined the Board of Directors of the Friends in 2016 as Secretary. After a reorganization of board members in 2020, she moved into the position of Vice President. Caitriona is a Mendon resident and has children in the Mendon/Upton school district. In May of 2022, Caitriona accepted the nomination as President of the Friends of the Library.

Lisa Bibring, is also a Mendon resident and was appointed to the Board as our Secretary in 2020 and has recently accepted the nomination of Treasure/Assistant Clerk. Lisa has worked as a librarian for 18 years at the Memorial School in Milford, along with her library experience, has been involved with numerous volunteer positions and brings lots of enthusiasm. have a passion for helping others in the community and work towards the common goal of supporting the Taft Public Library.

Caitriona and Lisa are excited to help the Friends organization grow and continue to support the Taft Public Library and their patrons. They both have a passion for helping others in the community and work towards the common goal of supporting the programing and staff of the Taft Public Library.

What We Do

The Friends of Taft Public Library is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the library through fundraising and volunteer services. Our goals are to expand the services available to its patrons and to strengthen the library’s connection to the community.

There are currently two open positions on the Board of Directors, Vice President and Secretary. If anyone is interested in joining the Friends of the Library as a Board Member, or just as a volunteer there are lots of ways to get involved.
